The facelifted version of the Porsche 911 is around the corner. It seems this model, likely to be revered to informally as the 991.2, is likely to be make its public unveiling at this year Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

However, these latest spy pictures which have surfaced on the Internet, shows the new model without any camouflage. From these pictures it is quite evident that the front bumper has been redesigned, while the rear has also received several updates.

The air vent on the engine cover is new, and so is the rear bumper. The latter now features twin, centre exhaust pipes, a feature usually associated with recent GT3 models.

There are also additional air outlets behind the rear wheels. This specific test mule was also equipped with the optional PCCB (Porsche ceramic composite brakes).

As has been previously reported, the new 991 will also be offered with new engines, of which all will be turbocharged. This will mean that only the GT3 and the new GT3 RS will be naturally-aspirated.
