The Range Rover Sport SVR was already released 4 months ago. Arriving around the first quarter of next year in South Africa, we can’t wait to see what it will be like to drive, especially next to a car such as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
This is Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) most serious attempt yet at a sports SUV. The 5,0-litre, V8, supercharged engine develops 410 kW and 680 N.m. That is enough for a claimed 0-97 km/h acceleration time of 4,5 seconds.
In this video, the company’s chief engineer of vehicle integrity, Mike Cross, explains all the dynamic systems at work in this SVR – catching a few impressive drifts while doing so.
He ends off by saying: “The Range Rover Sport SVR, it is a true driver’s car”. Brave words, but we can’t wait to find out.
