Remember the very good looking V60 Cross Country that debuted at the LA Auto show last November? Well now comes news that the same treatment will be dished out to the Swede’s S60 sedan. Meet the Volvo S60 Cross Country.
Expected to go on sale in Europe in around mid year (no word yet on an appearance in our market), the S60 Cross country also gets a jacked-up suspension (by 65 mm over the standard saloon), beefy cladding, and an all-wheel-drive option. This treatment looks great on the V60 wagon but on the saloon… well… not so much.
In Europe particularly, the S60 Cross Country offers an alternative to the four-wheel-drive BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. Two engine options are being touted – the V40’s 140 kW 2,0-litre D4 diesel engine, and for the four-wheel-drive version, the five-cylinder, 2,5-litre turbodiesel engine will be used.
