The Toyota 86 is a popular sight on local roads, for two main reasons:
- It is a Toyota;
- It is one of SA’s most affordable sportscars.
Not one to rest on its laurels, Toyota SA Motors has launched a slight revised model with a few enhancements. Among these are a slight more rigid suspension se-up, daytime-running lights (DRLs) for the the High and Limited derivatives, a new audio system with full Bluetooth functionality and the option of satellite navigation.
Most notably, Toyota will now produce a Limited Edition variant, of which just 86 will be sold in SA, available only in red or white. Distinguishing these models is a deep front splitter and lower side skirts, a very large rear wing and Limited Edition badging. Red accents in the cabin differentiate the interior from other 86 models.
Keep an eye out on this site as we will bring you a driving impression of the new 86 in the next few days.
