Toyota Hilux crash safety rating released [w/video]

Euro NCAP has released crash test results for the latest generation Toyota Hilux.

In standard guise, as sold in South Africa, the Hilux achieved a three-star rating. It should, however, be noted that as per new testing criteria, the difference between a three- and five-star rating can come down the fitment of modern safety features such as lane-assist and collision warning systems (available in the Ford Ranger), rather than any structural deficiencies.
