Three Toyota brand staples; namely the Hilux, Fortuner and 86, have been given a series of cosmetic and specification-related shot in the arm for the 2014 model year.
Hilux and Fortuner
The majority of changes take place in the cabin with both models now sporting black finishes for their dashboards. In the case of the Fortuner, the 3,0- and 4,0-litre models now receive black leather seat upholstery and the 2,5 black cloth.
Both 3,0 D-4D and 4,0 V6 models (high-end Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux DC) now feature an all-new multimedia system that incorporates such features as a photo viewer, expanded interface categories for music downloads including full-colour album art and video/DVD playback when the vehicle is stationary.
The Fortuner 2.5 D-4D manual and auto models also get an upgraded multimedia system featuring a larger display and boasting added functionality in the form of a Bluetooth hands-free system.
In line with Fortuner 3,0- and 4,0-litre models, equivalent Hilux Double Cab models (raised body and 4×4) now also come with a back guide monitor as standard.
Toyota 86
Changes to the 86 include an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth and touchscreen interface and a moulded boot mat. High-grade models also receive daytime running lights and a body-coloured rear spoiler
