Toyota South Africa Motors has added three new two-tone paint options to its local Yaris range.
While admitting that white and silver are still “the go-to colours for most Toyota customers”, the local arm of the Japanese automaker believes the new bi-tone hues will still prove popular with South African hatchback-buyers.
All three new colours – Pearl White, Crimson Metallic and Grey Metallic – are paired with a metallic black upper body, a combination that serves to accentuate the more expressive styling adopted during the last Yaris facelift.
Although the press material makes no mention of cost, it seems the upgrade to two-tone paint work won’t set you back a cent, with the brand’s website listing each of the three new bi-tone colours as “standard”.
It’s worth noting, too, that the dual-tone paint selection can be specified on all four derivatives in the local Yaris range, from the entry-level 1,0-litre model through to the range-topping HSD 1,5 Xs CVT hybrid.
And, if you prefer your Yaris painted in a single hue, don’t worry, that’s still possible. There’s even white and silver.
