Volkswagen South Africa has released the updated Polo sedan.
As the picture illustrates, the exterior has been updated with a more modern and fresher look.
Move to the inside, and here a host of updates have also been implemented. The interior now features a new radio, updated seat trims, a multifunction display and even a flat-bottomed steering wheel with satellite controls.
Depending on the trim of the Comfortline and Trendline derivatives, the new sedans will feature front foglights, chrome accents on the door handles, lower grille, bootlid and rear bumper. There will also be colour coded side mirrors and door handles.
Volkswagen has added four new colours to the range. These include Titanuim Beige metallic, Night Blue metallic, Carbon Steel metallic and Toffee Brown metallic.
The engine range has also been updated. The 1,6-litre TDI engine from the Comfortline is replaced with a 1,5-litre TDI unit. However, the new engine still delivers 77 kW and 250 N.m, the same as the outgoing unit. Apart from the that, the range still exists of the 1,4- and 1,6-litre petrol units.
For the first time a service plan is now standard on the sedan rage, which is a 3-years/45 000 km plan.
