Earlier this month, we reported that Volkswagen planned to name its new 2017 seven-seater SUV the “Atlas“. And now, ahead of the new model’s official reveal in the United States, the Wolfsburg-based brand has snuck a teaser shot into a video.
Yes, VW has released the first in what appears to be a series of clips, ahead of the expected debut of the Atlas at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
In the footage, a camouflaged, three-row Atlas makes an appearance or two, while VW executives discuss the brand’s history in the US as well as its plans for the new SUV. But right at the very end, the teaser image you see above is revealed.
The new SUV is set to be built in Tennessee, and has so far been confirmed for left-hand drive production only, with North America and China being the first intended markets (and sites of production).
