The BMW M3 is one of the most iconic vehicles to be produced by this Bavarian manufacturer. Most iterations of this performance saloon/coupe have become legends, but arguably the most important version of the M3 was the E36 generation. It was the first time that the M3 was powered by BMW’s much-loved straight-six motor and at the time CAR tested the car in 1994, its 3,0-litre straight-six engine pushed out 210 kW and 320 N.m of torque. CAR was able to achieve a zero to 100 km/h sprint time of 6,34 seconds and described the vehicle as “one of the most desirable cars on the road”.
