Earlier this week Mercedes-Benz invited some of its current and retired employees to play around on the famous Nordschleife racetrack, also know as the Nurburgring. The list included current staffers Nico Rosberg and Bernd Mayländer. They were joined by Bernd Schneider, Karl Wendlinger and one chap named Schumacher. Some say he’s the best Formula One driver ever to have competed, and with seven world titles and 91 victories to his name, so it’s pretty difficult to argue with that.
These gentleman got to try out a variety of machinery on the tricky course including the brand new A and CLA 45 AMG, the recently revised E63 as well as two SLS models, one in full race trim. Most notable however was Schumacher’s lap in a modern-spec Formula One car.
