Ford Racing duo and former champions Chris Visser and Japie Badenhorst kept their championship hopes alive when they finished ahead of the rest of the field at the 4×4 Mega World 400, round six of the Absa Off-Road Championship, on Saturday.
Former South African champions Duncan Vos Rob Howie clinched their second win in the ABSA Off Road championship.
Reigning champions Duncan Vos and Ralph Pitchford showed their class with a come-from-behind win in their Donaldson Nissan Navara in the Eastern Cape 400, round two of the Absa SA Off Road Championship, which finished in Jeffreys Bay on Saturday afternoon.
Toyota scored two more class wins in the Production Vehicle category and took the Manufacturers Award on the Eastern Cape 400, round two of the Absa Off Road Championship, in Jeffreys Bay over the weekend.
Toyota will go into this year’s Absa Off Road Championship, which opens with the Adenco 400 in the Western Cape on March 20 and 21, with high expectations.
Magaliesberg, Saturday – The father and son combination of Karl-Heinz and Quintin Sullwald clinched the South African Special Vehicle championship in dramatic fashion today when they won the RFS Magalies 400, the final event on the Absa Off Road series calendar, which ended at Tarlton International Raceway.
Lydenburg, Saturday – Reigning South African champions Evan Hutchison and Achim Bergmann scored their first win of the season when they won the Special Vehicle category on the Toyota Dealer 400, which ended here yesterday.
The Toyota Dealer 400 in Lydenburg on October 10 and 11 the penultimate round of the Absa Off Road Championship, will be no place for the faint of heart in the Special Vehicle category.
The knives will be out in the Special Vehicle category on the Limpopo 400, round six of the Absa Off Road Championship, in Limpopo on September 12 and 13.
