Its brash colour and bulbous shape may remind you of a sugary treat, but crossover style has never been as affordable as the Geely LCX GT.
For the LCX, Geely has decided to ditch the standard car’s po-faced nose for a more purposeful (but still quite cute) front end, replace the bear-paw brakelamps with more conventional items, tack on the seemingly de rigeur crossover accouterments that are plastic cladding on the front and rear aprons, a ride height raised to 180 mm and sticking the spare wheel on the rear hatch.
Few technical details are currently available, but, according to a spokesperson for Geely South Africa, we can expect the see the LK during the second or third quarter of 2011. They have also confirmed that it will be powered by 1,3-litre engine connected to a five-speed gearbox and offered in three specification levels.
