Fuel-cell vehicles (FCV) use hydrogen as fuel to generate electricity, negating the need for a large battery pack. Hydrogen can also be replenished quickly, mimicking a fuel-station experience. Hyundai’s ix35 FCV proved this by driving 2 383 km in 24 hours on public roads in Germany while emitting zero emissions.
