Spies from Autobblog have captured a camouflaged prototype of the 2014 Subaru WRX STI undergoing dynamic testing at the Nürburgring. Although it’s clad in the requisite swirly wallpaper that adorns most pre-production test mules, the overall bodywork and such features as the signature bonnet-mounted air scoop are dead giveaways as to this car’s identity. It also appears that the design of the production model has been considerably toned down from that of the decidedly sexy Subaru WRX Concept that was revealed at the recent New York Auto Show, but it looks as though such cues as the c-shaped brakelamp elements have managed to evade the red pen.
