As a way of saying vielen dank to its Facebook followers for notching up 100 000 likes, Audi AG has released a video of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept in full flight.
When Audi first lifted the wraps off this concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the firm referred to it as a ‘legitimate successor’ to the iconic 1984 Sport Quattro.
It features plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a turbocharged 4,0-litre V8 petrol engine and a disc-shaped electric motor coupled with a reworked, 8-speed version of the firm’s tiptronic automatic transmission. With combined outputs of 515 kW and 800 N.m of torque channelled to the tarmac via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drivetrain, the Sport Quattro Concept is said to be good for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 3,7 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h.
The lithium-ion battery pack at the heart of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept gives the car a full EV operating range of up to 50 km and a combined fuel consumption of 2,5-litres/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 59 g/km have been claimed.
