The new BMW M5 is set to launch in South Africa towards the end of March 2018 (have a peek at local pricing here), with the Mercedes-AMG E63 S squarely in its sights.
And, in a fitting whetting of local appetites, the drag-crazy folks over at CarWow in the United Kingdom have released a video pitting the new high-performance German sedan against its closest rival.
For the record, the F90-generation M5 employs a turbocharged 4,4-litre V8 worth 441 kW and 750 N.m. The E63 S, meanwhile, features a turbocharged 4,0-litre V8 producing 450 kW and 850 N.m. Both are all-wheel drive. Check out a full on-paper comparison here.
