A few months ago we brought you this video of a Lamborghini Gallardo lunching its motor during a top speed run. Well, it seems that the owner of that car, a chap named Leonid, has been busy in the workship since that unfortunate incident.
He built a 1 400 kW engine for his newer Gallardo Nera (of which just 185 were manufactured) to settle a bet – it appears he has quite a bit of spare change lying around.
Watch as he and his team prepare and then set a new record: 410 km/h over a standing mile (1,6093 km). On the way to that impressive speed he also managed a quarter mile time of 8,8 seconds with a terminal speed of 289 km/h.
