Ever wondered how an electric SUV would fare in a drag race against a Ferrari F430 Spider? Well, wonder no more.
The folks over at DragTimes organised the unusual battle, pitting the flagship version of the Tesla Model X P90D against the high-performance Italian convertible.
The new all-electric P90D, of course, boasts all-wheel drive, the aptly named “Ludicrous” mode, and the benefit of oodles of instant torque, which means it absolutely rockets off the line.
Meanwhile, the F430 Spider, which went out of production to be replaced by the 458 back in 2009, features a normally aspirated 4,3-litre V8 providing the rear wheels with 360 kW.
Sure, it may not be a fair fight on paper, but it still makes for rather interesting viewing…
