Regular readers of CAR magazine will have noticed that we have been featuring a few motorbike reviews over the past 12 months. As a result, on occasion there have been some pretty spectacular bikes parked among our test cars in the garage. Some fast, some slow, and others built for comfort. But riding a motorbike can be a dangerous exercise, especially given the relatively poor standard of driving in this country. Fortunately, to date, none of our riders has had an incident (touch wood) on the road and each has returned with more smiles than frowns after a days riding.
The same can’t be said for this French Moto journalist, however. Watch as, while filming a segment for a review on the brand new Yamaha FJR1300A, he misjudges the width of the bike as he rides onto a pier at Port de Saint-Martin and takes what you might call a … tumble.
No news yet on how the journo is doing but thanks to the in-helmet microphone we get to experience the full impact as he and the bike fall off the pier and make contact with a yacht below.
Ouch!
