According to reports the Datsun Go (recently launch in South Africa) has failed its Global NCAP crash test in quite spectacular fashion.
The India built hatch performed so poorly, in fact, that the chairman of Global NCAP, Max Mosley, has called upon Nissan to withdraw the car from any markets it currently sells it in. The car scored zero stars for adult occupant protection.
While the Go is controversially sold without ABS brakes or airbags, the report suggests the fitment of airbags would actually do little to protect occupants as the overall integrity of the car’s body performed so poorly during the crash test.
