Another weekend, another nasty Formula 3 crash.
Yes, we’ve seen a few over the last little while (like this one at Rockingham and this one in Austria). This time, the crash took place in the first race of the lastest round of the British F3 round at Oulton Park.
Ameya Vaidyanathan tangled with South Africa’s Sisa Ngebulana on lap seven, leading to the Indian driver being launched into the air.
Vaidyanathan, thankfully, was declared unhurt and promptly released from the medical centre.
“Ngebulana had a poor exit out of the first corner and we were side-by-side heading into the flat kink heading into Cascades,” said Vaidyanathan.
“Unfortunately, our wheels touched and after that my view was quite disturbing. I felt quite a few big hits but I have no idea what direction they were in or where they came from,” he said.
Due to his part in the incident, Ngebulana was excluded from the race results and docked four penalty points.
