This footage (apparently shot in Toronto) shows a driver lose control of a McLaren 720S before clattering into a parked Audi R8.
The 10-second clip shows the 720S pulling away from standstill. Despite the title of the video uploaded to YouTube, launch control clearly was not used.
However, it seems pretty obvious the electronic stability control was set to its, er, “least restrictive” mode. Initial reports suggest that a 19-year-old (sans licence) was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
The 720S employs a twin-turbocharged V8 displacing 4,0 litres, generating 530 kW and 770 N.m.
