After nearly five years of rigorous testing and development, spanning environments from the icy expanses of the Arctic tundra to the depths of the desert, the Arctic Trucks team has announced the Land Rover Defender Arctic Trucks AT35.
South Africans will be familiar with the D-Max AT35, a collaboration with Isuzu that saw the seventh-gen D-Max get the Arctic treatment. While nothing has been said about the Land Rover Defender AT35 coming to local shores, let’s take a wistful look at the unique Defender 110.
Leveraging the iconic Defender’s storied heritage, the AT35 model has been meticulously crafted and fine-tuned by Arctic Trucks’® seasoned off-road mobility experts, with this version designed to navigate the most demanding terrains with unparalleled ease.
The vehicle benefits from extensive modifications, including chassis, body, and exterior enhancements. A lifted Land Rover suspension, 20 x 10” matte black Arctic Trucks dual valve wheels, and 35” BFGoodrich tires improve ground clearance, mobility, and traction, especially on softer surfaces. These adjustments also enhance on-road handling.
Aesthetic enhancements include widened Arctic Trucks® flares for added protection and a bold look, complemented by an obsidian black scheme, exclusive Arctic Trucks® and AT35 branding, and high-quality interior and exterior finishes. Durable aluminium and rubberized side steps, along with enlarged mud flaps and premium interior mats, underline the vehicle’s rugged appeal and functionality across all terrains.
