BFGoodrich Launches Enhanced All-Terrain T/A KO3 Tyre

By: CAR magazine

BFGoodrich Tyres has announced the release of its latest model, the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyre. This new offering builds on the technology and performance of its popular predecessor, the All-Terrain T/A KO2, and aims to meet the changing demands of off-road enthusiasts with enhanced features and durability.

The development of the KO3 tyre represents a decade of research, racing, and consumer feedback, following the launch of the KO2 tyre. Harold Phillips, Global General Manager for BFGoodrich, highlighted that the company has leveraged extensive experience to elevate the all-terrain tyre to new heights. “We are our own competition, and with the KO3 tyre, it will be exciting to see what consumers will achieve, both at work and in their recreational activities,” said Phillips.

The release of the KO3 tyre will be staggered over the next two years, starting with 13 sizes available in May. This initial rollout will be followed by 17 more sizes in August, five additional sizes in October, 52 sizes in 2025, and 19 sizes in 2026.

The All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyre features several technical enhancements over the KO2. It boasts improved wear performance, better durability on gravel roads, and enhanced snow traction while retaining the sidewall toughness and soft soil traction that the KO2 was known for. The tyre includes a new tread pattern and a newly developed all-terrain tread compound, engineered to extend durability and longevity. The optimized footprint and full-depth 3D locking sipes are designed for even wear over time.

Additionally, the KO3 tyre incorporates CoreGard Technology for increased sidewall toughness, a feature that has earned it the Baja Champion badge. The Advanced Deflection Design is intended to help prevent objects from snagging and splitting the sidewall. The tyre also features a serrated shoulder design and Mud-Phobic Bars that build upon the KO2’s mud and snow traction capabilities, contributing to its Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake severe-snow rating.

According to BFGoodrich, the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyre outperforms the KO2 in terms of wear, durability on gravel roads, and snow traction. The KO3 tyre also comes with a 50,000-mile warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
