Bobo Campers creates new division called Rescue Camper

With South Africa currently under a hard lockdown for the foreseeable future, the tourism industry is set to be hit hard.

This means companies who rely on tourism for an income have had to adapt.

One such company is Bobo Campers, known for providing luxury motorhomes and campers to tourist who visit South Africa from all over the world. Since the tourism industry has come to a dead stop, Bobo Campers had to think out of the box.

What they’ve come up with is a new project called Rescue Campers.

Camper Rescue is a new division of Bobo Campers – southern Africa’s premier camper hire specialist now offering mobility rental solutions for the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to supply communities with effective solutions, Rescue Campers offer viable transport and accommodation options to ensure we will win the spread and minimise fatalities.

Rescue Campers offer patient transport, onsite staff accommodation and mobile testing vehicles. The usual rates have been dropped by 60%, which allows Bobo Campers to cover its overhead costs. All of the necessary authorisation is already in place.

Rescue Campers offer the following:

  • Depots in Benoni and in Cape Town. All are ready to serve.
  • Campers are fully equipped (see list here)
  • 220V electrical lead (15Meter) supplied
  • fridge/freezer onboard
  • 2-pit gas stove
  • microwave
  • fresh linen
  • cutlery and crockery
  • fresh running water supply
  • hot/cold water on Discoverer 4 & 6 models
  • only normal code8 or (E)B drivers license required.
  • 24-hour assistance also included
  • late-model vehicles – not older than 2017
