Chevrolet Corvette C5s are dirt cheap in the USA, which means they serve as the basis for many project vehicles.
This one happens to be the craziest one we’ve ever seen, as the owner transformed what used to be a sports car into a dune buggy.
The Corvette’s body panels were removed and an exterior roll cage was installed. The owner also included some additional protection for the engine and added the front bumper from a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Other additions include towing hooks, a light bar and a fire extinguisher.
The most surprising thing about this build is the parts of the Corvette that remain. The 5.7-litre V8, six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive remain, which makes sense in a buggy.
The suspension setup is less buggy like. The suspension setup was carried over, albeit lifted slightly.
The 17-inch rims from a Corvette Z06 were fitted, with a chunkier off-road biased tyre from Firestone.
