Dirt road diamonds: Leisure Wheels weekly picks

By: CAR magazine

Continuing with our weekly series, Leisure Wheels identifies a few unique off-roading rigs. From concepts to classics to restorations and modifications, these are our favourite vehicles of the week.

Starting things off, a menacing single-cab Defender 130 that is barely recognisable from its original form. This wild rig belongs to the owner of Australian company, 4WDetail, that specialises in creating bespoke 4WD care products

An off-road ready Bentley Arnage Wagon? Doesn’t get much cooler if you ask me. Although a digital concept, this beautiful car was rendered by the talented @globalcartizen, and it has us wishing it actually existed.

Next up on our list is a classic Range Rover V8 with a beautiful tan paint and brown interior. This restored classic is simple sophistication done right, a must have for any off-road enthusiast’s garage.

Moving on to a brand with a rare affiliation with gravel, we have a far from standard Porsche Cayenne. This awesome 20th Anniversary Safari Cayenne features a host of overlanding modifications, and its good to see the luxury family SUV out of its natural habitat.

Last, but definitely not least, a soft top Series Land Rover kept  spotted on Camps Bay’s main strip. The paintwork and front lights could do with a bit of love, but not bad knick for a car this old! Bigger, better beach buggy?
