This week the US-based FJ Company unveiled its latest restomod project, which is a 1984 model Land Cruiser.

The original car was taken apart completely and rebuilt using both original and new components.

The most impressive of these new parts is the engine. The old engine was ditched in favour of Toyota’s famous 4.0-litre V6 petrol, with a Magnuson supercharger bolted to it for good measure. The FJ Company claims it produces around 240kW.

Other modern additions include disc brakes, power steering, traction and stability control systems, air-conditioning, LED lights, modern suspension components and a stainless steel exhaust system.

The interior retains its retro look, but some modern gadgets were included to make it easier to live with. This includes an infotainment system with a reverse camera and a decent sound system.

To wrap it all up, the FJ Company added custom leather seats, white headliner and a new instrument cluster.
