In collaboration with ÖAMTC and TCS, in a recent ADAC tyre test, conducted on 205/55-size, 16-inch tyres, Goodyear’s Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 was awarded a “good” rating, signifying a first for an all-weather tyre in an ADAC tyre test.

Awarding Goodyear’s all-season tyre first place, ADAC’s testers remarked the tyre is “well-tuned” and doesn’t have “glaring weaknesses in any area”. Evaluators also noted that the tyre fared well on wet roads. In addition, the company says good environmental balance, which was determined by the tyre’s high efficiency, low tyre wear and an “above-average” predicted mileage, was integral for it receiving top honours. Speaking about mileage, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 proved best in mileage, achieving 67 000 km, which is 45.6% more than the tyre that finished last in the mileage test.

Ben Glesener, Regional Technology Director of Goodyear EMEA, said: “Goodyear’s continued recognition in prestigious tests highlights our continuous development of trailblazing technology. We are particularly proud that [the] Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 has become the first all-season tyre to achieve ADAC’s overall ‘good’ ranking, underlining its capabilities across dry, wet and snowy conditions combined with outstanding mileage.”
