With a history spanning more than five decades, the Jimny has garnered a cult following. Suzuki’s characterful 4×4, although small in size, is a true-blue off-roader. Now, in celebration of the Jimny name and history, Suzuki Australia has whipped the wraps off a special-edition, five-door variant — the Jimny Heritage.

Limited to only 500 examples, the Jimny Heritage pack includes an array of elements to elicit a feeling of nostalgia. The kit includes Jimny Heritage decals, red front and rear mud flaps, and a model-specific cargo box. The Jimny Heritage is available in five body hues, which include Jungle Green, Graphite Grey Metallic, Bluish Black Pearl, White, and Chiffon Ivory, the latter of which ships with a Bluish Black Pearl contrast roof.
Available with the range-topping model, which is designated “GLX” on local shores, the long-wheelbase Jimny Heritage is equipped with an array of standard features, which includes a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto screen mirroring (activated via USB or wirelessly); park distance sensors and a rear-view camera; automatic climate control; a leather-clad, multifunction tiller; cloth upholstery; and safety items, such as six airbags, Isofix child-seat anchorages, and more. A set of 15-inch alloy wheels is also present.

As a reminder, all Jimny models, be it the three- or five-door derivatives, are equipped with Suzuki’s K15B powertrain, a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine churning out 75 kW and 130 N.m of torque. Two transmission options are on offer — a five speed manual cog-swapper and a four-speed self-shifter, both of which incorporates a low-range transfer case for when the road gets rough.
