There are rumors that a Lotus Evora crossover is in the works. Could this possibly be true?
According to CAR in the UK, the company wants to increase its appeal in countries such as the US and China where SUVs are incredibly popular. The magazine interviewed Jean-Marc Gales, the ex-Peugeot Citroen boss who now heads Lotus, who revealed that the company is working on a crossover.
Unsurprisingly, the Evora crossover won’t be a hardcore SUV, but will be closer to something like the Audi TT off road concept car, which was revealed a while ago. Power will be sent to the rear wheels.
Lotus hasn’t officially unveiled its crossover to the media as a whole, but considering that CAR heard the info right from the head of Lotus, the creation of a Lotus crossover seems like a virtual certainty. We can’t wait to see what it looks like…
