A lot of hype has been created around the all-new Volvo XC90 but as it starts to die down and approaches its time to showroom floors, real opinions are emerging from prospective buyers and it’s not looking too good.
A preview of the XC90 was set up for WhatCar? readers and to much surprise it displayed that not everyone was ecstatic about the car.
Among the faults that were pulled out, some found the infotainment screen to be too distracting while most agreed on the lack of space for a vehicle in the MPV class.
On the positive side the vehicle does have a strong pulling power and would be of good use to those with any intention of towing a caravan.
Buyers are also beginning to take real interest and are noting the differences of claimed figures given by manufacturers to what vehicles are actually achieving on the road, as the claimed economy of the T8 Hybrid powertrain was put into question. There is bound to be a little misleading when it comes to marketing anything, but the consumers have the power to get manufacturers to change their slightly misleading ways and they should make good use of it.
