Merc G-Class 35 Edition offered

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the G-Class 35 Edition to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the company’s legendary off-roader.

The 35 Edition isn’t a massive departure from the standard model, but it has been fitted with Merc’s Chrome and Sport packages on the outside, and feature a set of 18-inch black alloy wheels.

Inside, the 35 Edition boasts Nappa leather seats and an AMG Performance steering wheel.

Both the G350 BlueTEC and the G500 will be available in the 35 Edition. The vehicle has only gone on sale in Germany, and there has been no word on whether we’ll ever see the 35 Edition in SA.

What we do know, however, is that the G-Class will still be with us for quite some time. It has recently been reported that Merc will continue to build the vehicle until 2027, and will give the 4×4 a very substantial facelift in 2016.
