Restoration and modification is synonymous with over landing. In a weekly series, Leisure Wheels takes a look at five interesting restored or modified off-roading vehicles.

The aftermarket additions that characterise the off-roading industry make for so many interesting iterations of both classic and contemporary SUVs, bakkies and vans. From kitting out modern vehicles to space-ship level spec to taking iconic old 4x4s and breathing new life into them, modification is an essential element of off-roading.

We’ve decided to start taking a weekly look at restomodded and geared out rigs that have found their way on Instagram. We can’t promise all of them have actually found their way off-road, but that’s another story!
