Suzuki e-Survivor concept to go on display in Tokyo

By: CAR magazine

Suzuki will show off its new electric SUV concept, known as the e-Survivor, at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show in October.

The e-Survivor Concept is a futuristic take on the classic Suzuki jeep. It’s not surprising that it is an all-electric vehicle, and its style reflects both the retro and futuristic. The e-Survivor is lightweight, with see-through doors and virtually non-existent wheelarches. The Japanese manufacturer has taken an innovative approach by housing the four electric motors in the wheels, allowing the ladder-frame construction to be as compact as possible.

Rear-view cameras replace the mirrors and inside, the dashboard has large screens with infotainment controls and navigation settings.

Suzuki is has not released information on the battery specs or output yet. According to the manufacturer, the e-Survivor is a compact SUV of “the next age,” but only time will tell whether it will make production in some form or other.
