Tesla’s Cybertruck will “kick butt” and float

By: CAR magazine

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, answered a few questions about the upcoming Cybertruck.

We’ve covered the Cybertruck basics before, but in case you need a reminder, here’s everything we know about this all-electric bakkie so far.

When asked about the wading depth of the truck, Elon did not respond with a figure, but rather stated that it would even be able to float for a while.

Elon also revealed that the air-suspension will be able to “kick butt” in the Baja 1000. The Cybertruck doesn’t have sufficient range to compete in this event, but if Tesla can figure out a way to quickly swap batteries, it would be interesting to see it compete in the event.

Finally, it was reveiled that all Cybertrucks will roll off the assembly floor without paint. Each model will sport the bare stainless steel panels, which gives owners the option of having it painted or wrapped in whatever hue they choose.
