No the images are not of a real off-road desert racing machine but a very special radio controlled vehicle, designed and built by Traxxas.
This toy is the company’s all-new Unlimited Desert Racer, built with a high attention to detail. The remote control truck rides on a tube frame chassis and is built around a rugged tube cage with realistic side plates, just like the real Trophy Trucks and Unlimited Trick Trucks.
It features a scaled four-link solid-axle rear chassis design with huge (relative to the size of the toy) suspension travel and “authentic driving dynamics, and accurately reproduces a true unlimited desert race chassis in both form and function,” according to Motor 1.
The remote control vehicle rides on a set of tiny BF Goodrich off-road tyres with two functional spares located in the off-road bakkie’s bed. A one-piece plastic body is fitted tot he tube cage, hiding the 2 200kv electric motor, waterproof metal gear servo, and ESC telemetry module.
