The first pictures of the Jeep’s new entry-level model have surfaced. Called the Jeep Renegade, it should be the smallest vehicle in its line-up as well as being the most fuel efficient.
It is said to share the same platform as Fiat’s 500L, while Fiat will release its imitation version which might be called the 500X. Another possibility is that the Fiat Panda 4×4 and the Renegade will share the same underpinnings.
No official details have been released yet, although reports suggest that this Jeep will only be available with four-wheel drive. We doubt it though, since these vehicles’ aim would be to use as little fuel as possible. We think there will definitely be front-wheel drive models – especially since it is based on the Fiat platform – including a combination of petrol and turbodiesel models.
Stay tuned for more details when they become available.
