As if there aren’t enough SUV and SUV sub-segments in existence now Mercedes are throwing its hat into the SUV Coupe ring. It revealed this Concept Coupe SUV at the company’s annual shareholder’s meeting.
According to reports Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche said:”This study will be officially unveiled in just under two weeks from now at Auto China in Beijing. But we wanted to show you this vehicle today. We see major potential for Mercedes-Benz in particular in this combination of a coupe and an SUV.”
This single teaser image reveals a large SUV, most likely based on the ML-Class, with a sloping roofline at the rear, in a similar vein to that of BMW’s X6. The front end has Merc’s now familiar new styling language dominated by the S-Class like headlights and bold character lines through the profile.
More info will be revealed on April 20, the media day of the 2014 Beijing Auto Show.
