Ordinary people may think the BMW M4 GTS is more than hardcore enough. But, as we’ve come to realise over the years, the folks over at G-Power are anything but ordinary.
The German tuner has revealed an upgrade for the no-compromise M4 GTS, taking peak power from 368 kW to a whopping 452 kW. Maximum torque, meanwhile, rises from 600 N.m to 760 N.m, while the obligatory sprint to three figures falls two-tenths to 3,6 seconds.
G-Power has furthermore “relaxed” the electronic top speed restriction, claiming that the updated M4 GTS will top out well over 320 km/h.
So, what does the B-Tronik 2 V3 upgrade to the M4 GTS entail? Well, first off, two new turbochargers are thrown in and a catalyst-free exhaust system is fitted. Lightweight 21-inch wheels (wrapped in high-performance tyres) are added to the mix, before the 3,0-litre straight-six’s ECU is comprehensively remapped. And that’s pretty much it.
G-Power says the package costs €16 995 (around R270 000), although interested parties obviously have to own one of the 700 BMW M4 GTS examples built. And the tuner says four owners have already had the conversions applied.
