Toyota has revealed its new GR Supra Racing Concept at the Geneva International Motor Show, showing “the future potential for a car that can deliver high performance both on road and track”.
A two-door vehicle, the GR Supra Racing Concept has a front-engine/rear-wheel drive configuration and makes use of what Toyota calls “advanced lightweight materials” for the bonnet, front and rear bumpers, front splitter and rear diffuser, side skirts, side-mirror housings and the rear wing.
Conceived by Toyota Gazoo Racing, the concept measures 4 574 mm long, 2 048 mm wide and 1 230 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2 470 mm. BBS racing wheels have been chosen and wrapped in Michelin racing rubber. The braking system uses Brembo calipers and discs.
Toyota has yet to reveal exactly what powers the GR Supra Racing Concept. This concept, of course, is expected to preview a production version that has been co-developed with BMW alongside the new Z4.
