Land Rover South Africa has confirmed that the new Discovery Sport Landmark Edition will launch locally in September 2018, with pricing still to be announced.
The new special edition has been conceived to celebrate the Discovery Sport’s success as the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time.
“We have sold more than 350 000 Discovery Sports globally since its introduction in 2014, with 126 078 models sold in 2017 – the best single-model annual sales in Land Rover’s 70-year history,” said Finbar McFall, global product marketing director.
The Landmark Edition will be offered in what the British brand describes as a “unique colour and trim combination”, and will be available exclusively with the 132 kW 2,0-litre Td4 turbodiesel engine.
The Discovery Sport Landmark will be offered in three colours – Narvik Black, Corris Grey and Yulong White – each complemented by a Carpathian Grey roof. It furthermore features a model-specific front bumper, along with various Graphite Atlas bits of exterior trim and 19-inch “Mantis” alloys finished in Gloss Dark Grey.
Inside, you’ll find Ebony grained leather seats and an Ebony headliner, as well as dark grey aluminium finishers around the centre stack.
