Commemorating their 60th anniversary of the 911 moniker, Porsche unveiled a new anniversary edition model to please enthusiasts and purists. This is all you need to know about the 2023 Porsche 911 S/T.

Limited to 1 963 units, this special edition Stuttgart creation is priced at R6,3 million per piece.
The 911 S/T is the lightest 992-generation model to date, and this is by way of several enhancements made to the sultry sports car’s frame and underpinnings.
Weight-saving elements include the front bonnet, roof, front wings, and doors, composed of lightweight carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). Additionally, the 911 S/T is equipped with a pair of 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) centre-lock magnesium wheels and features a gurney flap on the extendable rear spoiler.
The cabin features less insolation and is characterised by CFRP bucket seats with soft centres wrapped in black leather with white accent stitching and door handle loops.

Below the metal, the most notable change to the anniversary model’s inner workings is its exclusive and specially designed lightweight clutch mated to a single mass flywheel.
These changes to the drivetrain components result in a reduction of 10,5 kg. Furthermore, Porsche has omitted its rear-axle steering system to further reduce its overall weight. These adjustments and enhancements result in a kerb weight of 1 380 kg making it 40 kg lighter than the 911 GT3 Touring!
Motivating the lightweight tarmac trekker is a familiar naturally-aspirated 4,0-litre boxer engine that powers the higher-strung GT3 RS model. This version of the flat-six produces 386 kW and is mated to a short-ratio six-speed manual transmission allowing it to blister from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3,7 seconds.
Porsche offers its new lighter-than-all 911 with a visual enhancement package anointed the Heritage Design Package. This optional design trim is finished in a baby blue colourway codenamed Shoreblue Metallic. Complementing this colour are the magnesium wheels finished in an off-white colour that Porsche calls Ceramica.

The seats are wrapped in Cognac leather accentuated by a two-tone leather surround in a Cognac colourway. Further distinguishing features include the starting numbers on the doors, classic Porsche crests strewn throughout the body and interior of the car, and a key that pays homage to the 911 S that came before.
