The recently unveiled Toyota Crown Crossover has been taken all the way into hardcore off-road territory. While it is only a virtual rendering, it looks relatively capable of tackling the unbeaten path with those beefy all-terrain tyres.
With a video created by Marouane Bembli, better known as TheSketchMonkey on Youtube, we get to see what a Toyota Crown Crossover that is purposely built for off-roading would look like. The rear three quarter view of the lifted sedan isn’t just equipped with chunky all-terrain tyres and a roof rack but a partial redesign of the rear fascia takes place which accentuates some of its sleek aesthetics.
Considering each Crown model is actually an all-wheel drive with Platinum trim equipped with Toyota’s E-Four Advanced AWD system that can transfer up to 80% of power to the rear, it wouldn’t be impossible to turn this into a reality and make it moderately capable off-road.

Gazoo Racing and Modellista, two of Toyota’s in-house tuners, have already announced that they will provide aftermarket upgrades for the Crown lineup. This includes wheels, front and rear spoilers and side skirts to name a few. Considering this is Toyota we are talking about, we can only imagine that there will be a myriad of aftermarket potential in the near future.
