The 2020 Audi delivers full-on comfortability and is quite nippy when needed. But is it as luxurious as everyone claims it to be?
Initially introduced as a four-door saloon/sedan, the Audi A4 went on sale in February 1996.
First things first, the amazing colour and body
We received the 2020 Audi A4 in a lovely Turbo Blue and when I first laid eyes on her, she was my eye candy.
The front-end’s updated look is somewhat unique, with a Singleframe grille with Audi’s logo, big and bold. My personal favourite was the design of the headlights and the Matrix Daytime Running LED lights (with a headlight washer) that are available standard across the range.
At the rear, the boot boasts a 460-litre amount of space. Newly designed LED headlights, two tail pipe exhausts and 19-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels add a more sporty look to the vehicle too.
Let’s talk about the inside
When you enter the vehicle, driver confidence is given first hand. The leather seats added a feel of luxury and comfortability. Both driver and passenger seats are electric with seat heaters which might I add do come in handy with those backaches and icy mornings.
The steering wheel had a 3-spoke design with shift paddles with buttons enabling you to control the radio and browse through the range without taking your eyes off the road. Pure luxury if I do say so myself.
My personal favourite about the interior was the blue Contour ambient lighting, located on the doors and inside the cup holders up front. The interior also had a glass sunroof, a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit infotainment system, 3 zone climate control system. Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with 3D sound.
The model also had an Audi phone box where if your mobile is connected with the Audi Connect, it charges your mobile in no time while you are on the road. Adaptive cruise control, including Audi active lane assist Audi pre sense at the rear.
But how does it drive?
Comfortable, amazing and as a driver you always feel in control.
The Audi A4 had four driving modes, efficiency, comfort, auto and dynamic. Any bend is no match for this Audi. Overall, the drive is one of the most comfortable ones I have had in a really long time, with the feel of pure luxury, sunroof open and the wind in my hair.
The Audi A4 had a 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission. A total output of 140 kW with 320 Nm of torque was delivered without struggle. The claimed fuel consumption is 7.9/5.3/6.3 litres.
