As I embarked on my journey with the EQS 450+ sedan, I anticipated an experience that would seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with opulent comfort. With that in mind, the first glance of the EQS 450+ exuded an aura of sophistication and modernity with its sleek silhouette hinting at the advanced engineering concealed within. A brief walk around shows the distinctive Mercedes-Benz design language imparting a touch of timeless elegance to the exterior. As I approached the vehicle, the prominent EQS badging served as a reminder of its electric prowess, signalling a departure from conventional combustion engines and technology.
Slipping into the leather upholstered driver’s seat, I was immediately enveloped in luxury. The interior of the EQS 450+ is a testament to Mercedes-Benz’s dedication to craftsmanship and refinement. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the cabin, from the meticulously stitched seams to the piano black centre console and metal accents.
However, my initial impression was tempered by the realization of the EQS 450+’s hefty doors. As I reached for the door handle, I was met with resistance—a stark reminder of the car’s substantial build. With a firm tug, the door finally yielded, revealing the aforementioned cabin adorned with luxurious amenities and state-of-the-art technology.

The centrepiece of the EQS 450+’s interior is undoubtedly its expansive infotainment display. The high-resolution screen serves as the command centre for the vehicle’s myriad features and functions. With a few taps, I could access navigation, adjust climate settings, and even customize the ambient lighting to suit my mood.
Behind the steering wheel, the digital instrument cluster provided essential driving information with clarity and precision. Its customizable interface allowed me to tailor the display to my preferences, ensuring that pertinent data was always at my fingertips. As I set out on the road, the EQS 450+ revealed its true prowess. The electric motor delivered seamless acceleration, propelling the car forward with a silent yet potent force. Despite its substantial size, the EQS 450+ handled with remarkable agility, effortlessly navigating city streets and winding roads alike. The four-wheel steering system further enhanced the driving experience, providing stability and precision in every manoeuvre.
However, as the journey progressed, I encountered a few minor inconveniences. The sensitivity of the carpets proved to be a point of frustration, requiring extra caution to avoid staining or damage. Additionally, the window on the driver’s side exhibited intermittent issues, failing to fully close on occasion—a minor issue in an otherwise flawless ride. Additionally, the absence of a rear wiper may pose challenges in maintaining visibility in rainy conditions, particularly with the window positioned at an angle that can obscure rear visibility.
Getting acquainted with the model, it is easy to see why the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ represents the pinnacle of luxury and innovation in the electric vehicle market. The few flaws I took note of are overshadowed by the car’s impeccable craftsmanship and advanced technology which makes bidding farewell to the sleek sedan somewhat difficult.
