Manhart is known for its incredible modification skills and its otherworldly products as a result of those skills. Now is the turn for the CRT 800; a modified Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe.
BMW M240i, Mercedes-AMG GT, McLaren 720s, Bentley Continental GT, and so many more nameplates have received Manhart’s Midas touch. A new addition to this ever-expanding fleet has been unveiled in the form of a modified Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe, now known as the CRT 800.
The factory powertrain revolves around Porsche’s 4,0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces around 410kW and 770Nm. The standard Cayenne Turbo Coupe is a well-endowed and well-sorted SUV on the brink of perfection, but there’s always room for improvement, or at least that is what the folks at Manhart seem to believe. The CRT 800 is outfitted with a pair of upgraded turbochargers along with an upgraded intercooler and upgraded gearbox. In addition to hardware, the ECU has been remapped, but customers can purchase their MHtronik Powerbox for this particular model. The modified power plant produces 601kW and 1090Nm.
The roaring and stirred V8s notes are delivered via a set of Manhart 4-inch stainless steel quad-exit exhausts. The upgraded rear silencer features a valve control system. The exhaust tips can be ceramic coated or housed in carbon fibre. Manhart offers downpipes and an OPF-delete kit which is only available for export since they are not TUV approved. Suspension modifications are also added to the car which includes air suspension and coupling rods. The air suspension is tuned by Manhart and lowers the car by 35mm.
The CRT 800 features a set of 22 -inch Five-Star double-spoke wheels finished in gloss black with gold accents, but the rim trim colour change is available upon request. Manhart will soon offer a carbon fibre front and rear diffuser, but for now, the only option for the exterior of the car is a decal set. Interior color may be changed upon request but the elements of the interior remain the same as standard.
Your standard Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe comes with a price tag of around R2.7 million and these Manhart upgrades are definitely going to add a few thousand so you better have some deep pockets.
