1. What was your first car?
My first car was a 1994 Toyota Conquest. It didn’t have a radio and I used to insist that everyone who drove with me should have a phone that could play music.
2. What do you drive now?
I drive a 2009 Volkswagen Polo
3. Do you think the car a guy drives says something about him?
I think it should, but to me it doesn’t. I generally think the total opposite of the guy than what his car portrays 🙂
4. Name three cars you would have in your fantasy garage?
1967 Mercedes 300SE convertible
Aston Martin
And for everyday, Golf 6 Cabriolet in white
5. What music are you listening to in your car at the moment?
Robbie Willliams -“ Swing when you’re winning
6. Who are better drivers; men or women?
I think it depends who has the kids in the car 🙂 Cos it will make them drive more carefully!
7. If you could be sponsored by a manufacturer, which one would it be and why?
Volkswagen
I think it’s purely because I grew up with those amazing ads they always did. The ads that made me believe and feel like everyone is part of this one big happy family. I also love the sleek lines of their cars and the fact that it’s classy and glamorous, but never makes me feel like it’s not a car for me.
8. What’s the best driving advice you have ever received?
When taking a corner, go to the furthest edge of your lane and control your car that way. Don’t try to stay close to the inner lane.
9. What three tips would you give for better driving?
Stay off your phone
Ignore those around you who are in a rush and trying to rush you -“ it’s not your fault they are late.
Make sure your tyres are -˜pumped up’ exactly as they should be, it makes the world of difference.
10. What is your pet hate on the road?
When drivers are at a red traffic light, then when it goes green they take forever to drive off. You know you are at a traffic light and that some or other time the light will change -“ keep your eyes on the light!
