Fans of the fender bashing Australian V8 Supercar Championship are in for a Festive Season bonanza on Supersport.

Starting on December 23 on High Octane Motorsport on Supersport 2 viewers can tune in every Tuesday for five successive weeks for highlights of the legendary Bathurst 1000, which will be broadcast in two parts on December 23 and December 30, the Gillette V8 Supercar Challenge on the streets of the Gold Coast on January 6, the New Zealand V8 International at Pukekohe on January 13 and the VIP Pet Foods Main Event at Sydney’s Eastern Creek on January 20.

The championship was closely fought with Russell Ingall (Ford), Marcus Ambrose (Ford), Greg Murphy (Holden) and reigning champion Mark Skaife (Holden) all in with a chance of winning the coveted title. Marcus Ambrose clinched the championship in style by winning the season finale, which was the 27-year old’s sixth win of the year, Ford’s ninth win of the year and Ford’s first title since 1997.
